Trang An Joint Stock Company (Trang An), formerly known as Hanoi Cake - Candy - Jam Public-Private Partnership Enterprise, after the capital's liberation and establishing the State-owned enterprise in 1964, separate into 2 enterprises in 1975: Hanoi Cake - Candy - Jam Enterprise (belonging to Ha Noi Trading Company) and Hanoi Candy Enterprise (under Hanoi Department of Industry). Trang An is a branch developed from Hanoi Candy Enterprise (1975) - Hanoi Candy Factory (1989) - Trang An Confectionery Company (1991). On October 01, 2004 (after 40 years of developing), the company converted into the model of joint stock company, with 51% of its charter capital managed by Hanoi City.
Starting as a small enterprise, until now, Trang An Confectionery Company has substantial market share compared with 4 its member companies (whose headquaters are located in Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ben Tre, respectively). Its turnover in 2014 was expected as VND 801 billion (increased by more than 14 times than before equitizing in 2004), creates many jobs for thousands of labors and pays taxes equaling to tens of billion to the state.
For past years, the consumers know Trang An about Huong Com Candy, characterizing young green rice flavor of Lang Vong, Hanoi. Trang An confectionery products have been awarded "Vietnam High Quality Goods" for many past years. From the traditional key products, Trang An has developed dozens of models of the products which suit the taste of Vietnamese.
